Modern Golf Clubs
An essential part of playing golf well is to have the right tools. Modern Golf clubs can be custom fitted to suit your frame. What a lot of golfers don't realize is that by adjusting the lie of the club by even a degree, it can make such a difference to how you address the ball and strike it. Tall golfers will naturally need more length, adjusting to a more upright position to accommodate their size. But even shorter or average height golfers can benefit from this service as some will have long bodies and short legs and vice versa.
It's always best to consult with a trained P.G.A Golf Professional or even go to one of the many club fitting centres offered by leading brand golf club manufacturers. A half hour having your clubs fitted, checking even the basics, like your golf club flex are correct, will save you many a stroke on your score card. It won't necessarily make you a better golfer, but at least your golf clubs won't be working against you.
Golf club sets today are getting smaller, to suit the pocket of the average golfer. Manufacturers standard sets can be 5 iron to sand wedge, yet the more skilled of us will still want their set to be from 3 iron or even 2 iron upwards. The introduction of hybrid irons/golf clubs has changed the shape of many sets. These are aimed to breach the gap between iron and fairway wood. The science involved in this game is constantly changing as new technology creates golf clubs that are more forgiving. With better heads, better shafts and even better grips, golf clubs have never been so accommodating to our needs.
